Recently, I had the privilege of working with my friend Alex Lee as he prepared for his TEDx talk at the University of New South Wales.
By the time we started rehearsing, the words were there. Our focus became the performance. Body language, tone, inflections, pace, pauses and connection.
The biggest challenge of all—delivering an 18-minute talk without notes or an autocue. Rather than rehearsing the entire presentation, we broke it into one-minute sections, mastering each piece before linking them together. It made an enormous difference.
Speeches from leaders such as Martin Luther King Jr, Nelson Mandela, Mia Mottley, and JFK endure because they combine two things: a powerful message and the confidence to deliver it with authenticity.

Players were taken through storytelling tasks, technique fundamentals covering voice, structure, body language, and presence. This flowed into mock press conference scenarios.
The focus throughout was on building confidence, sharpening communication skills, and reinforcing the leadership standards expected within a high-performance team culture.
